Wild Dehesa

A quiet base in the Sierra de Gata

Casa Rural Jardín de la Sierra de Gata sits on the edge of Hoyos, one of the villages on the official Sierra de Gata birding route.

The house sleeps up to 10 in five bedrooms, or 12 with the sofa bed, so it suits a small birding group as well as a couple.

After a day in the field there is a lounge with a fireplace, a library, and a garden of olive and fruit trees with a pool and a shaded barbecue patio. Nearby villages include Robledillo de Gata, Trevejo and San Martín de Trevejo, with hiking trails through forests and mountains.

Staying for the birds? Tell us what you want to see and we will help you plan the days. See the three-day routes and the Sierra de Gata guide.
